"It is my dream to live and see a world where every body is IT literate and having equal opportunity to reap the benefits of the world wide web

[Eric M. Acha: Founder and President of the Acha Foundation]"

The rural webfication project is an innitiative of the Acha Foundation aimed at making the internet accessible to all rural communities, especially in the developing countries where many have never heard of or  know what the internet is.

The goal of the project is well defined and to achieve this, the foundation has engaged in a number of grass root activities in such communities to prepare the grounds for the project implementation. Such grass root activities include the identification and training of IT expert who will in turn be part of the implementaion process.

To ensure sustainability, such trainees are commited to work with the foundation for a specified time period, untill a new group of experts have gained similar knowledge from them. This has proven to be the most efficient methodology to ensure the sustainability of the project.
