Home MISSION STATEMENT

The current educational system in Cameroon makes it very hard for students to familarise themselves with this technologies through a compulsory process. It is thus the foundation's prime objective to help facilitate and provide the knowhow to schools that might not stand the chance of benefiting from any governement sponsored scheme to cover this technology gab.

The foundation's core mission is to create a soceity where every individual has the opportunity to use ICT to learn, invent, innovate and excel. Giving everyone the opportunity to fully exploit their potentials will not only provide them new opportunities, but will also improve the standards of the soceity in which they live. Having a clear understanding of the number of talented young people living in disadvantage communities is the driving force behind our endeavours.

Our ultimate goal is to use information technlogy to reachout to every youth, especially those in the Sub Saharan Africa, and make them benefit from its mass wealth of ICT. We believe there is an ocean of untaped potentials in these regions and providing the know-how and infrastructure to those concerned, will provide them with unlimitted opportunities.

Although we may not have a disticnt path on how to achieve this, we have a roadmap which is the architecture of the foundation.

Objectives

  • To clarify concepts and themes related to ICT and  sustainable development and how they can be integrated in all subject areas across the school curriculum, and the rest of the civil soiciety

  • To enhance skills for using a wide range of interactive and learner-centred teaching and learning strategies that underpin the knowledge, critical thinking, values and citizenship objectives implicit in reorienting education towards sustainable development.

  • Make every community and school available on the world wide web so as to increase their exposure and thus communicate with the rest of the world

  • To bring the rest of the world closer to the most remote regions of the world and provide them with the means of communicating using ICT

  • To encourage wider awareness of available Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), of the potential of multimedia-based approaches to education and professional development and of the Internet as a rich source of educational materials.
